Sleep in Heavenly Peace

We had a moment on Christmas Eve when things lined up and Brian was able to catch these cute Christmas photos of Isaac. I was so excited for them! It's one of the perks of having a newborn at this time of year! I have loved all the cute hats and booties I get to dress him up in :)

Just a warning... there are lots of photos! He is such a cute baby, and as proud parents, we can't help but gush on him.

He's been a sweet baby. After dealing with Calvin's colic the last go-around, Isaac has been a very good newborn! Fingers are crossed it stays that way!

 We're so happy to have him in our home, especially at this time of year. Brian and I were both exhausted for Christmas morning though! Although we feel blessed to have him, the round-the-clock-work of parenting a little baby is physically draining in its own ways. We're hoping for a more rested Christmas next year and for all the years that follow!

Now it's the day after Christmas. Christmas morning looked like a toy store exploded in our house! The kids never changed out of there PJ's, we didn't go anywhere, toys were strewn all over the house as the kids went from playing with one toy to another. It was a great day. The best gift of all was one of Isaac's Christmas presents to Brian and I. He slept last night from 9 pm until 3 am! WOW! It was such a blessing to get caught up on sleep. We haven't felt that great in a long time! And then, he continued to bless us by sleeping from 3 am until 7am! It was amazing! I am hoping he continues this trend :)
