A very Merry Christmas

We had a very happy Holiday with pajamas, warm fires, Christmas stories, visits with friends and neighbors, letters to Santa, shopping, hot cocoa, parties, lights, cookies, Santa, snow and sledding...and magical Christmas morning (oh! and stitches too!).

But even amidst all the fun and magical, we celebrated Christ, served, and felt the spirit of the season! It was a great year!

Mom and Me dates 2015

Eli and I went to Hee Haw Farms for a fun fall outing. He was so scared to go down the tall slide on his own, but soon got over that..he was sliding on his tummy and wanted to do it again and again!

We went on a wagon ride and hay ride and pony ride. It was conference weekend, so there were hardly any other guests at the Farms! It was our lucky day! We got to do everything with just the two of us!

He had fun with corn maze, and thought I was getting us lost! He also found the perfect pumpkin in a pick-your-own pumpkin patch. It was a very fun day with him.

Zoey and I went to Disney's Princess On Ice show. It was amazing. The costumes were phenomenal and the music was perfect. We got to see highlights from Princess Tiana (Princess and the Frog), Snow White, Cinderella, and Rapunzel- her favorite! The ice skating was fantastic! It was pure entertainment and she loved every minute of it!

It was mix of ice skating and aerial acrobatics. Totally awesome!

She was all smiles.... so worth spending this time with her!

After the show she danced everywhere we went!

We stopped though temple square... it was a beautiful day! She forgot to bring a coat, so I gave her mine to keep warm. And I went cold the whole day...

We made a trip to the Disney store for a trinket...they were half the price of what was being sold at the show! And...we ran out of gas not he freeway on the way home! first time ever! ha. Don't want that to happen again... luckily Zoey had packed a backpack of things to keep her entertained for the LONG drive to SLC. I laughed a little when we were heading out with so much stuff, but we actually used! Plus, she got to play with her new doll.

Jackson asked me to take him to Savior of the World again this year. I'm glad he did! It's a great way to help feel the spirit of the message and miracles surrounding Christ's birth. We went to lunch at the Nauvoo cafe, walked around temple square to look at the nativity scenes, and looked at the candy windows at city creek mall while we were in Salt Lake City for the day. it was a great time together.

Calvin and I went on the Polar Express. He was super excited to go on his very first real train ride! He was impressed by the size of the wheels. He loved the hot cocoa and cookie and singing songs. His favorites are Frosty the snowman and Rudolph. When the elves, who entertain the train car we were in passed around a mic for people to sing into Calvin blurted "I want a boat"! It was so funny. He couldn't wait for Santa and kept asking where he was, and I guess he must have thought he'd better get it out to someone that he wanted a boat for Christmas!
